What is claircognizance?

Claircognizance is considered as one of the sixth senses and is the notion of people receiving psychic thoughts, words, and ideas transferred to them from the non-physical entities.

It is a mental-based form of communication that occurs between the receiver and disincarnate beings. These can be anything from spirit guides and ghosts, to angels and aliens.

People who show signs of claircognizance are typically those who tend to be more mental in their ideas and thoughts, keeping everything within. It is a common gift seen in inventors, mathematicians, engineers, and scientists. As well as those who fall under the Aquarius star sign.

Claircognizance should not be confused with clairaudience. Clairaudience is when someone hears a single word rather than a whole concept, idea or conversation.

What is telepathy?

Telepathy is the transmission of information from one person to another without using any of the known sensory channels such as touch, speech or sight. It is communicating thoughts, ideas or feelings mind-to-mind, even when the other person is miles away.

The word telepathy comes from the Greek τῆλε, tele meaning “distant” and πάθος, pathos or -patheia meaning “feeling, perception, passion, affliction, experience.”

There are different types of telepathy:

Telepathic Impression

This is where you are able to plant a message, image, or word into someone else’s mind.

Mind Reading

This is being able to read or sense someone’s thoughts or feelings but without interfering.

Mental Communication

This is pretty self-explanatory. It’s having a mental conversation or communicating a message to someone without any verbal or physical cues.

Mind Control

Commanding or compelling the thoughts of someone else through telepathy.

How are telepathy and claircognizance linked?

By this point you’ll have noticed that telepathy and claircognizance are quite similar. But you may have noticed that there is one crucial difference.

Whilst they are basically the same concept, the difference is that telepathy is conducting mental communication between two living beings. This can be a person or an animal. Whereas claircognizance is mental communications between a person and a non-physical or living being.

There is some crossover. People who have telepathic gifts also tend to be claircognizant too. The difference is simply where the thoughts and communications originate from.
